1962: Petroleo Mecanica Alfa is founded by Sacor and Schwelm Eisenwerk Muller Gmbh

1965: Assembly of petrol-dispensing pumps

1966: started LPG Cylinder manufacturing

1976: First export to Middle East

1983: Stopped assembly of Petrol-Dispensing Pumps and concentrate all efforts in LPG cylinders

1989: Relevant investment in automatic deep drawing press; Cutting/Blanking line and forging equipment

1990

1990: COMANOR acquires ALFA, creating the COMANOR-ALFA group

1994: Certification as ISO 9001:1994 Company Concentration of all production lines in Guimaraes New finishing line and new furnace

1996: New returnable cylinder line

1997: AMTROL, Inc acquires COMANOR-ALFA

1997: Started production of non-refillable cylinder

1999: Launched the Full Jacket cylinder

2000: Launched the RABBIT cylinder

2003: ISO 9001:2000 registered

2005: New composite cylinder production ine. Launched the COMET composite metal cylinder

2006: Launched the NGS and SOFT GRIP
